Panhard erects new logistics centre in Le Havre port

Logistics provider Panhard and Haropa, operator of the port of Le Havre (France), have signed a contract covering the construction of a new logistics centre in the port’s grounds.

Building work on the 49,000 sqm platform will start in February and should finish at the end of 2019. Half of the building, which will contain offices, will be used by the port logistics enterprise Mediaco.

The logistics centre is comprised of eight, 6,000 sqm cells, one of which will be used for temperature-controlled goods.

Christophe Bouthors, Panhard’s CEO, declared: "The Pont de Normandie 2 logistics park is located in the centre of the port of Le Havre and close to the multimodal platforms. From there we can provide the services that our customers need.” It is planned to extend the centre by 100,000 sqm in the mid-term. (mw)
