Plans for intercontinental capacity clarified

PSI Air 2007, a Philippine airlines that began flying in 2020, has acquired its first widebody jet, a B777F, to be used in launching in-house intercontinental cargo flights.

In its application to the US department of transportation for exemption authority and a foreign air carrier permit, the airline is asking for the green light to operate scheduled and charter cargo and mail services between the Philippines and USA directly or extending to markets like China, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Vietnam, or from USA to the Philippines via Europe (Netherlands and Germany) and the Middle East (UAE).

The airline says it is planning to initially operate a daily widebody flight from Manila and/or its home base Clark to Chicago (ORD) and Ontario in California. (ah)
