Raben snaps up majority shareholding in Sittam
Netherlands-based Raben Group is increasing its stake in Sittam from 20% to 51% in July 2019. Through the share purchase the Dutch company will become the Italy-based forwarder general cargo transport provider’s majority shareholder.
The Bertola family, Sittam’s majority shareholder to date, will retain 49% of the shares and remain a long-term shareholder. Both company owners have decided to increase shareholder capital to strengthen their economic position.
Moreover, a change of leadership has been made in order to implement the strategic goals. Wojciech Brzuska has been Sittam’s new CEO since the end of April. Previously a Raben Group manager, he has over 20 years of experience in the transport and logistics sector. (mw)
