Reach Airports appoints CEO


Reach Airports, the USA-based joint venture of Munich Airport International’s (MAI) US holding and CAG Holdings, has named Andrew O’Brian new CEO, effective 1 August 2021. In his new role, he will oversee the management of the company, business development and cooperation with airport-related partner firms.

 

O’Brian joins from Quiport, a SPV launched to invest in, build and operate the Quito International Airport, Ecuador, where he currently is president and CEO.

 

“Under his leadership, Quito Airport has received over 20 industry and passenger awards including consecutive accolades as South American’s leading airport from World Travel Awards and best regional airport from Skytrax”. Prior to that, O’Brian also served as Aerodom’s CEO in the Dominican Republic.

 

Today, he is president of the Airports Council International (ACI) Latin America, Caribbean Regional board, he also sits on the ACI World Governing board, and is a vice chair for the international board (IAAE) of the American Association of Airport Professionals. (amh)
