Resumed: rail services to Dusseldorf
After a break of more than five years, the Mosolf group has resumed regular rail services to its Dusseldorf location (Germany). Following a successful test phase, the automobile logistics provider has added a weekly departure from its site in Kippenheim, near Lahr, to Dusseldorf in its service schedule.
Mosolf handled 67,000 vehicles in the inland port of Dusseldorf last year, and plans to move well above 70,000 units this year. Barge transport accounts for 49% of the overall volume, 17% of the vehicles should be hauled by rail in future and 34% purely by road. (ben)
