Role swapping at Lufthansa Cargo

Lufthansa Cargo Group is making a series of changes to its management. Thomas Sonntag will take over the management of Jettainer, the international service partner for outsourced ULD management, as of 1 July. He will replace Carsten Hernig as managing director.

Hernig will move to Sao Paulo (Brazil), and shoulder the role of Lufthansa Cargo’s head of the Latin America & Caribbean region. In his new position, he will report directly to Dorothea von Boxberg, board member for product and sales.

Gunnar Löhr, previously head of the Latin America & Caribbean region, will become head of supply management & infrastructure at the carrier’s HQ in Frankfurt. He will be responsible for the freight airline’s procurement and supplier management and report directly to Martin Schmitt, board member finance and human resources. (mw)
