Shuttle connects Maasvlakte II and Venlo
APM Terminals Maasvlakte II has set up a new rail shuttle from the port of Rotterdam to the Cabooter Terminal in Venlo (both Netherlands). According to the schedule, three trains per week will haul import and export cargo between the two terminals.
The new initiative doubles the number of rail connections between Rotterdam and the Cabooter Terminal. The APM terminal Maasvlakte II has a capacity of 2.7 million teu. The Venlo-based Cabooter Group is a family business that has been working in the logistics sector since 1959. The firm manages some 550,000 sqm of space for logistics activities. (ben)
