Shuttle links western and northern North Sea ports
The Rhein-Ruhr Terminal Duisburg (RRT), a Neska subsidiary, and the handling company, Roland Umschlagsgesellschaft, have introduced a new service named Rhine-North Sea ports-Xpress (Rhein-Nordseehäfen-Xpress/RNX).
The rotation of the new twice weekly train is Bremen – Bönen – Duisburg (all Germany), thus providing a trimodal link between the Duisburg region, Bönen and Bremen and Germany’s North Sea ports.
Roland Umschlag in Bremen is responsible for moving the cargo to/from the ports of Hamburg, Wilhelmshaven and Bremerhaven, while RRT in Duisburg is in charge of forwarding shipments to Europe’s western seaports. (ben)
