Stef trials FresH2 in France
The FresH2 fuel cell project has reached the road trial phase. The hydrogen fuel-cell powered refrigeration unit will be tested in the comings days under actual usage conditions by Stef Chambéry site teams in France, as part of a delivery round for food products.
The solution, financed by Bosch, is designed to deliver electricity required by refrigeration units installed on temperature-controlled road haulage semi trailers. The system developed by Carrier Transicold is installed on a Lamberet semi trailer.
Once it has passed all certifications required for road licensing, it will be tested to evaluate efficiency and identify any areas of improvement for future serial production. (ben)
