Successful China - France voyage via Arctic route
The Cosco “Tian’en” called at the Radicatel terminal between the French ports of Le Havre and Rouen on 6 September, thus completing the first China – France voyage via the new Artic route.
The handling of the ship and its cargo of wind turbines also set a new milestone for the port community system operator Soget. The digital capture of the ship could begin before its arrival at the terminal thanks to interoperability with Open Rives, the port of Rouen’s river information system.
The procedures related to the import of wind turbines ex Shanghai were managed by Sone in partnership with the French customs and private players such as the freight forwarder and maritime broker Sealogis.
For Cosco Shipping France, the connectivity of the ports of Le Havre, Rouen and Paris (Haropa) plays an essential role in the transport and logistics scheme that the Chinese government is initiating with its new Arctic maritime policy and belt and road Initiative. (kd)
