Sustainable shipping pallet testing successful
Gaynes Labs has completed testing on the new hybrid wood-corrugated Nextpallet supporting almost 1,100 kg. Result: At just 12 kg, the heavyweight version of the Nextpallet hauls and racks like much heavier wooden pallets. The Chicago IL (USA)-based startup expects its lightweight and standard versions to weigh between 6.8 kg and 8.6 kg.
Since it is reusable, recyclable, and saves fuel, the highly sustainable Nextpallet is made from 100% recycled corrugated material from Pratt Industries.
The product offers upfront savings to air freight and LTL shippers who pay by weight. Others will save by adding more cargo to shipments before reaching weight maximums. The Nextpallet also features custom printing and RFID. (ah)
