Swisslog lands Coca-Cola contract
Coca-Cola Malaysia is banking on an efficient intralogistics future. As part of a major EUR 100 million investment scheme to expand its site and raise capacities at its plant in Bandar Enstek, the beverage producer has mandated Swisslog to build a state-of-the-art fully-automated warehouse.
The project will enable Swisslog to introduce its innovative Powerstore pallet shuttle technology to Southeast Asia. The halal-certified Bandar Enstek plant serves as the Coca-Cola corporation’s central production site for the Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei markets.
The logistics building plan is linked to the company’s aim to increase its overall warehouse density and to unite the current storage sites in Singapore and Brunei under one roof. (mw)
