Takeover in Morocco completed
Ceva Logistics, an affiliate of CMA CGM, has acquired the Asti Group in Morocco as part of its ongoing strategy to expand its portfolio in Northern Africa. The companies have been long-standing partners for more than two decades and have delivered a range of multi-modal services to customers across the North African country during this time.
The deal enables Ceva to increase its export capabilities and enhance its reefer services and contract logistics activities in both Casablanca and the Tangiers Free Zone. The new operation will be looking to capitalise on the strength of the automotive industry in the country. Asti has almost 100 full time staff members based at the two locations. (sh)
