Tech solutions for fish carriers
Palfinger Marine has equipped the live fish carriers "Inter Scotia" and "Inter Atlantic," currently operating in Scottish waters, with advanced lifting solutions, including a central remote control system, enhancing daily aquaculture operations' efficiency and safety.
The Spanish-built vessels have been fitted with three PTM 600A telescopic cranes, each with a dual winch system for hose handling, and a foldable knuckle boom crane PK 18500M.
The installed cranes can be operated from the bridge or deck, offering flexibility and control for operators. Designed for ease of maintenance and durability at sea, they were supplied by Palfinger in collaboration with Intership and built at Zamakona shipyard in Bilbao, Spain. (pb)
