Train to link Lower Rhine with Sweden
TX Logistik is expanding its portfolio of railfreight services to and from Scandinavia. The company belongs to the Mercitalia group and specialises in transport services across Europe. It recently launched a three weekly roundtrip service between Kaldenkirchen in Germany via Denmark to Malmö and Eskilstuna in Sweden.
On this route, the trains carry mainly trailers containing a wide range of goods. TX Logistik is in charge of all traction operations. Drivers are changed at the German-Danish border in Padborg, where the Swedish subsidiary TX Logistik AB takes over. Kaldenkirchen lies close to the German-Dutch border.
"With this connection we provide an attractive and reliable service between major economic centres in the Benelux region and our customers in Scandinavia," TX Logistik says. (ben)
