Training initiative addresses “Wakashio” incident
Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) conducted a training programme in Mauritius for 20 young employees from its head office and group companies in nine countries.
The programme aimed to enhance awareness of sustainability and safe operations while contributing to the local community and environment affected by the “Wakashio” incident in 2020.
The training included inspecting the grounding site of the “Wakashio”, participating in a beach cleanup, visiting a local company, and engaging with projects supported by MOL. (pb)
