Trains for grains and energy
The Austria-headquartered LTE-group is renting four locomotives from leasing company European Loc Pool (ELP). Two Euro Dual units are currently being delivered and will soon go into service after a short training session.
The locomotives, made by Stadler Rail, are used for the transport of coal and coke, as well as for shipments of biodiesel and grain from Czechia to be distributed in Germany. Two Euro 9000, also produced by Stadler Rail, will come into operation in spring 2024.
These locomotives will initially be deployed for grain transports, which will be taken over by LTE at the Austrian/Hungarian border, and then dispatched westwards to Germany, to Neuss, Stuttgart and the Lutherstadt Wittenberg, for example. (ben)
