Turkish Cargo: certificates and Buckingham signature
Turkish Cargo has received QEP accreditation from Envirotainer for two stations (Brussels and Atlanta) as an indication of the quality of its pharmaceutical transportation service.
The carrier, which delivers medical products that require cold chain transportation to the world's largest pharmaceutical companies in six further QEP accredited stations (Bombay, Frankfurt, Hyderabad, Istanbul, Seoul and Tel Aviv), will now be able to increase business potential and provide more quality services to its customers.
In another sustainable move, Turkish Airlines has signed the "United for Wildlife Buckingham Palace Declaration (UFW)" pledging for zero-tolerance regarding the illegal wildlife trade.
The declaration was approved this week (wk 45) by the airline at a signing ceremony held at its Istanbul headquarters, attended by Iata director general, Alexandre de Juniac (6th from right) and Turkish Airline's head of cargo Turhan Özen (far right). (ah)
