Two Chinese musketeers

In an alliance between a local and an overseas player, Quanzhou Ansheng Shipping and China United Lines (CU Lines), have assigned twelve large vessels of over 20,000 teu. The units will be deployed on both transpacific and Asia-Europe lanes.

After entering into the Asia-Europe liner service in February 2021, CU Lines set up its Trans-Pacific Express connection in July 2021, linking China to the west coast of the USA. On 21 July 2022, the first anniversary of the Trans-Pacific Express service, CU Lines signed a long-term terminal agreement with LA YTI.

The carrier will then move on to increase the frequency of the TPC service (east China-west USA) to one sailing per week. This represents a comprehensive upgrade of CU Lines’s two Trans-Pacific Express services - TPC and TPX. (sh)
