Uganda's flag carrier tries again

Having operated already between 1977 and 2001 and relaunched last year, Uganda Airlines, the national carrier of Uganda, has taken delivery of the first two of four Bombardier CRJ900 aircraft ordered.

During the delivery celebration in Montreal (Canada) CEO Ephraim Bagenda commented that the company was "thrilled to commence operations with the world’s leading regional jet".

For its long-haul operations, the airline just recently has firmed up its order for two A330-800 airliners (see picture), the latest version of the A330 widebody plane. Uganda Airlines plans to use the A330-800 to build its medium and long-haul network. (ah)
