UPS adds two Polish airports to its network

The economy in Poland is recovering faster than expected, and industrial production is up by 1.1% compared to 2019. UPS wants to help businesses in the country take full advantage, and to this end is adding new links from the airports in Wrocław (WRO) and Gdańsk (GDN).

UPS air supervisor Grażyna Kur (pictured) pointed out that "it was definitely a challenge to get these new options completed during the pandemic, but our people really stepped up to get it done."

The airports have thus joined UPS’s existing air connections from Warsaw (WAW), Katowice (KTW) and Poznań (POZ). These hubs’ joint daily capacity comes to more than 11 t, giving UPS customers in the Lower Silesia and Gdańsk regions three to five extra hours a day to collect customer orders that have to be shipped the same day.
