UPS: two new distribution centres in Chengdu and Shanghai
The US integrator UPS has put two new contract logistics distribution facilities into service in Chengdu and Shanghai (both china). UPS now has a total of 130 contract logistics centres that cover 87 Chinese cities. The two new business premises are in addition to the UPS healthcare facilities that opened last year in Shanghai and Hangzhou. The contract logistics facilities will provide distribution and warehousing solutions to shippers who want to reach customers within China. The new Chengdu centre, which offers more than 4,300 sqm of warehousing and distribution space, is only 4 km from Chengdu Shuangliu international airport. The new centre in Shanghai encompasses more than 6,500 sqm of distribution space and is less than 4 km from UPS’s international hub at Shanghai's Pudong airport, China's largest airport measured in terms of airfreight volume.
