California’s transport infrastructure will receive a USD 122.3 million boost from Union Pacific Railroad (UP) this year. The company’s planned private investment will enhance safety, operating efficiency and support customer service.
UP will spend USD 90.8 million and USD 14.2 million on track and bridge maintenance, respectively. Other key projects in the US state include the replacement of 32 km of rail line between McFarland and Bakersfield, investment in the rail infrastructure in West Colton, and the replacement of over 33,000 railroad ties on the track between Newark and Aromas.
