US class I railroad to serve new coal loading facility
The US coal producer Sunrise Coal has signed a side track agreement with Norfolk and Southern Railway to construct a track to a rail coal loading facility in Indiana (USA).
The new line, known as the Princeton loop, will be located to the west of Princeton and will have equipment for unloading trucks, blending coals, loading 135 car unit trains in four hours and storing over 4 million t of coal.
The new site will primarily serve utility coal plants served by the Norfolk Southern once the rail facility is completed in the spring of 2018. (ben)
