Uzbekistan Airways switches to B787 on JFK service
From today (18 May 2017) Uzbekistan Airways is starting to deploy its two B787-8s on intercontinental services. The Dreamliner aircraft, which have been kept on regional European and Asian services since they arrived in August and November 2016, will make their longhaul debut to New York JFK, a route currently served with B767 via Riga. The Latvian stopover will be terminated as of 22 July.
The Central Asian carrier has four additional B787-8s on order and expressed interest in aquiring also larger B787-9. (ah)
