Vallair expanding footprint in Central France

Vallair has signed a LoI with the Centre-Val de Loire region and the operator of Châteauroux airport (CHR). It will see the aviation service provider awarded a ten-year lease to operate an 8,500 sqm full-service aircraft maintenance, repair, overhaul and cargo conversion hangar. It is adjacent to the company's existing aerostructures repair and logistics facility in Châteauroux, 250 km south of Paris, and should be completed before summer.

CEO Grégoire Lebigot said that the new facility “will see the natural extension of our operations in Montpellier and Châteauroux.” The company, which will continue to support this project by investing a forecast EUR 5 million in the coming months, also plans to establish its own dedicated conversion unit there, to showcase its passenger-to-freighter conversions.
