Volvo Trucks France: director general leaves

Since 15 June 2021, Volvo Trucks France’s CFO Mattias Rodier (photo) has also been acting as interim director general, replacing Christophe Tharrault, who has left office.

President since July 2018, Tharrault had remained a loyal employee of the vehicle manufacturer from the beginning of his professional career, from 1992 to now. Over nine years, from 2006 to 2015, he was a particularly successful sales manager. As president, he established the Swedish car brand as a major commodity in the import market.

With this announcement, the changing of the guard in car manufacturers' French subsidiaries continues. In just over a month, Philippe Canetti from Daf, Koen Knoops from Scania and now Christophe Tharrault have withdrawn from their positions as chairman.

In September 2020, Thierry Kilidjean, from Iveco, was replaced by Emilio Portillo and Jean-Marc Diss, from Mercedes-Benz Trucks France, was succeeded by Henri Paccalin three months later. (amh)
