WW and Gothenburg fortify partnership

The major ro-ro operator Wallenius Wilhelmsen (WW) is increasing its frequencies and destinations in the port of Gothenburg (Sweden), in response to growing demand for vehicle transport and breakbulk and project loads.

WW recently added direct services from Gothenburg to the US west coast, including Port Hueneme CA and Tacoma WA, bringing departures up from four to six a month.

Nikolai Nymoen, Wallenius Wilhelmsen’s general manager for Sweden, pointed out that “after a rough patch in 2020, demand is now higher than in a long time; our vessels now depart fully loaded.”

The line already operates direct services from Gothenburg to the US east coast, specifically to New York, Brunswick and Charleston.
