Yusen Logistics, a logistics service provider owned by the giant Japanese shipping company NYK, is building a new logistics centre in the inland port of Duisburg (Germany), thereby augmenting its space by around 70,000 sqm.
Duisburg therefore becomes one of the global firm’s most important locations. The new, 26,000 sqm complex is being constructed on one of the last free plots of land on the Logport I site. Operations in the new halls are scheduled to commence at the beginning of 2014. The NYK group, which has 55,000 employees at more 300 international locations, is among the world’s premier logistics companies.
