Don Daseke steps down as CEO

Daseke, a flatbed, specialised transportation and logistics solutions company in North America, has announced that Don Daseke will retire from his roles as CEO and chairman of the board with immediate effect, but that he will continue as a member of the board with the title chairman emeritus.

Daseke’s board of directors has appointed Chris Easter, its COO, as interim CEO, effective immediately. Don Daseke will work with Easter in an advisory capacity to help ensure a smooth transition while the board conducts a search for a permanent CEO. The board of directors has also appointed Brian Bonner as executive chairman, effective immediately.

Don Daseke said: “I am incredibly proud of what we have built over the last decade. Daseke remains a truly unique company, with a platform designed to support future growth on both the top and bottom lines. I am leaving the company in the hands of a very strong and deep leadership team across the organisation." (mw)
