The delicate buds of spring growing all around us these days are not the only new blossoms May has wrought.

The Breakbulk Europe heavylift and project cargo trade fair, being staged for the 13th time at the end of this month, is taking place in Bremen (instead of Antwerp) for the first time. What is not a first is the fact that this issue’s Breakbulk / Heavylift Special supplement is fatter than our main edition, which is one of the main reasons why this fortnight’s issue is the biggest overall of the entire year. You are also already accustomed to the ITJ’s strong presence in Bremen (Germany), with our large delegation looking forward to many an interesting encounter there.

Another innovation this spring is our first-ever Special on the western, French-speaking part of Switzerland – the Suisse Romande. Those of you not familiar with our country may think it small enough to be covered in one fell swoop – but you’ll be surprised by the number of unique logistics activities you can read about in our 20-page Special. The location marketing firm Greater Geneva Bern area (GGBa) attracted 88 foreign companies to settle in the region. The economic development agency of the Swiss cantons of Bern, Fribourg, Vaud, Neuchâtel, Genève and Valais, in turn, is setting up an office in Shenzhen, just outside Hong Kong.

We even have a third Special for you this fortnight, integrated into the main issue and analysing logistics developments in Iberia and Latin America.

Have some good trips with us!
