AED 55m auto hub for Dubai

DP world and Cars24 will build a 220,000 sq ft automotive refurbishment centre at Dubai’s national industries park (NIP) under a AED 55 million ($15 million) investment. The solar-powered facility aims to process more than 100,000 vehicles a year and will be connected to DP World’s logistics and port network as DP world reported. Construction begins in November 2025, with operations set for August 2026.

The centre will support electric and Chinese OEM vehicles, offering refurbishment, inspections, after-sales and export preparation. "Cars24’s new facility will anchor Dubai’s position as the region’s automotive hub," said Abdulla Al Hashmi (pictured right), COO parks & zones of DP world GCC. Cars24 Arabia CEO Abhinav Gupta (pictured left) added the project would "set a benchmark for speed, reliability and sustainability." (js)
