Amasus enhances offshore wind fleet
Amasus, a leading Dutch maritime logistics provider, has completed the rollout of its offshore wind fleet with two purpose-built vessels, Rotra Futura and Rotra Horizon. Each vessel is equipped with three Liebherr LS-C 100 ship cranes, enabling independent handling of wind turbine blades weighing up to 70 t. This significant milestone allows Amasus to transport large-scale components without relying on land-based lifting infrastructure.
Developed in collaboration with Concordia Damen and deugro Denmark, the vessels feature a ro-ro/lo-lo design that integrates advanced crane technology for efficient logistics across Europe and the USA. With both ships now fully operational, Amasus can offer uninterrupted blade transport, meeting the growing demands of the offshore wind sector. The partnership with Liebherr ensures ongoing support and innovation, reinforcing Amasus' commitment to enhancing renewable energy transport capabilities.
