Another new African cargo destination for Etihad
In addition to the new destination Entebbe (Uganda) mentioned in today's printed issue of the ITJ, Etihad Cargo commenced a weekly freighter service to Dar es Salaam (Tanzania) on 13 June 2014. On the return leg to Abu Dhabi (UAE), the A330-200F with capacity of up to 64 t will also stop in Nairobi (Kenya).
Initially, the UAE airline expects the service to carry heavy electronics, medical equipment and food items to Dar es Salaam. The return flights will primarily carry perishable goods destined for the Gulf region and Europe.
