BLG names new managing director
BLG Logistics has appointed Sven Wellbrock as managing director of BLG Autotransport GmbH & Co. KG, effective 1 October. He will be responsible for transport and rail activities.
Wellbrock brings more than 20 years of experience in the rail sector, most recently as COO and chief safety officer at VTG. From 2013 to 2023 he headed VTG Rail Europe, overseeing leasing, workshops, and later rail logistics and operations. His career has been marked by successful transformation projects and the integration of new digital solutions.
“His expertise in multimodal logistics and strategic view of the transport chain will significantly strengthen BLG,” said Axel Krichel, BLG board member and COO.
Based in Bremen and Mainz, Wellbrock will expand his focus from rail to road and inland waterway, aiming to develop sustainable, competitive solutions across modes. (ah)
