Boosting intra-Asia cargo capacity and speed
UPS is expanding its intra-Asia air network with new capacity and faster transit times. Five weekly flights between Shenzhen (photo) and Sydney now provide more than four times the previous uplift, cutting delivery times from Asia and Europe to Australia by one day. Next-day service is available for Friday pickups.
In Vietnam, UPS has doubled weekly capacity on the Hanoi–Shenzhen route to 570 t by deploying B747 freighters. This upgrade supports demand to China, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia and Thailand, with next-day deliveries from Hanoi to China and Hong Kong.
The enhancements strengthen UPS’s role in fast-growing lanes for healthcare, technology, automotive and industrial goods, offering businesses across Asia Pacific greater reliability and regional connectivity. (ah)
