Clia strengthens Rio–Minas link
Clia Pouso Alegre, operated by Ictsi, has relocated to a larger facility in Minas Gerais, strengthening the Rio–Minas trade corridor. The new 49,800 sqm site includes a 12,600 sqm warehouse, bonded space for 620 teu, a 1,800-teu depot and a 360 sqm warehouse for exports, offering capacity not available at the former site as the company reported.
Minas Gerais, home to agribusiness, meat exports, automotive, electronics, pharmaceuticals and consumer goods, benefits from proximity to Rio, Santos and major airports. Rafael Cardoso, chief commercial officer of Clia Pouso Alegre and Rio Brasil Terminal, said the move improves efficiency for shipping lines and connects industries more effectively with markets. (js)
