CMA CGM to add vessel to Amerigo link
The French shipping line CMA CGM is phasing the ‘Cosco Shanghai’ into its Amerigo service, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance reliability and up frequencies.
Expected time of arrival at the first port of call is a month from now, on 4 August in Salerno (Italy). The Amerigo trans-Atlantic link’s rotation starts in Salerno and continues from there to La Spezia, Genoa, Vado Ligure, Valencia, Algeciras, New York, Norfolk, Savannah and Miami FL (USA).
The inclusion of the ‘Cosco Shanghai’ into Amerigo’s fleet will support the Marseille-based line’s network stability and ensure continued service efficiency in the trans-Atlantic trade, the shipping line said. The move won’t have an impact on current schedules or cargo cut-off times, the line added.
