Dachser names Winter new air & sea logistics chief
Dachser has appointed Austrian-born Alexander Winter as Managing Director Air & Sea Logistics EMEA, effective 1 October 2025. He succeeds Marc Meier, who is leaving the company at the end of September.
Winter joins from DB Schenker (now part of DSV), where he spent more than two decades in senior roles, most recently as CEO for Austria and Southeast Europe, responsible for all transport and contract logistics activities. In his new role at Dachser, he will report directly to Tobias Burger, COO Air & Sea Logistics.
"With Alexander Winter, we gain a leader with extensive international experience who knows how to grow markets and make them efficient," said Burger. CEO Burkhard Eling added: "In Europe especially, we need a strong air and sea freight organisation closely linked with our groupage network. Alexander brings the expertise to take this integration to the next level." (ah)
