David F. Adam of USMX named person of the year
The New York/ New Jersey foreign freight forwarders and brokers association has named David F. Adam, chairman and CEO, United States Maritime Alliance (USMX), as its 2020 person of the year. Adam will be honoured at a gala dinner on 6 February 2020 at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel.
Since 2013, he has served as chairman & CEO of USMX, a non-profit incorporated membership association representing longshore industry employers on the East and Gulf Coasts of the USA, including container carriers, marine terminal operators and port associations. Adam joined the company as its senior vice president & COO in 2010.
"An effective maritime labour leader, Adam is known for his commitment to ensuring continued labour peace in our ports," said William Skinner, president of the association. "He has a proven track record of balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders, including USMX members, BCOs, supply chain partners and the ILA." (mw)
