Dematic enhances Velilla’s warehouse automation
Dematic has completed the third phase of a comprehensive automation project for the Spanish workwear manufacturer Velilla, integrating a state-of-the-art automated pallet storage (AS/RS) system that adds 22,400 pallet spaces. This facility enhances Velilla's capability to process 18,000 skus and manage up to 500,000 orders annually, positioning the company for future growth as it targets an eleven per cent annual revenue increase by 2030.
The solution includes a Multishuttle sequencer for assembling reference pallets from bulk cartons, enabling fully automated goods receipt. It efficiently manages a diverse product range, processing over 97,000 garments a day. This collaboration illustrates the significance of automated pallet storage solutions in the Iberian market, with Dematic and Velilla building a trusted partnership focused on innovation and efficiency to meet rising logistical demands.
