Dnata rolling out 800 GSE units in 2025
Dnata will deploy 800 new ground support equipment (GSE) units in ten countries in 2025 as part of a USD 110 million investment.
The largest volumes will go to the UAE, Brazil, Italy, USA and Singapore. The rollout supports Dnata’s expansion and decarbonisation goals, with new equipment sourced under long-term global contracts signed in 2024 worth USD 210 million.
The focus lies on replacing diesel engines with electric, hybrid and hydrogen-powered alternatives. In key markets such as Italy, Switzerland, the Netherlands and the UK, over 40% of Dnata’s fleet is already electric. In Dubai, all non-electric units now run on biodiesel.
Dnata uses fleet tracking, logistics mapping and shift optimisation to boost airside efficiency and reduce emissions. CEO Clive Sauvé-Hopkins stressed the firm’s long-term, data-driven approach. (ah)
