DP World to launch operations in Sweden

DP World is expanding its freight forwarding operations to Sweden, with new offices set to open in Stockholm and Gothenburg in February 2026. This initiative will enhance connectivity for importers and exporters, facilitating trade routes between Sweden and key markets in the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific and Latin America.

The expansion is backed by regional partners, including Foodtankers and Business Sweden. The new offices will utilise DP World's Cargoes platform to improve electronic data interchange (EDI) connectivity and streamline customs processes for Swedish exporters.

Stephen Whittingham, executive vice president – North Europe, noted that the operation will create jobs and further the company's commitment to sustainable logistics. Country manager Bojan Knightly expressed enthusiasm for providing regional customers with a transparent and efficient means to access global markets. Additionally, DP World Sweden aims for 25% of shipments via rail and sea in its first year to reduce emissions.
