Duo to head Kopf+Lübben Cargo Services

On 1 September 2022 Johan Padding will succeed Michael Guttrof as managing director of Kopf+Lübben Cargo Services (KLCS), joining Thomas Manigk in the firm’s executive management team. Guttrof left KLCS after 13 years in March. Dutchman Padding studied logistics in the Netherlands and has extensive experience in the industry.

After moving to Germany he first worked for well-known shipping lines, before joining an owner-managed forwarding firm in 2001. After it was taken over by an Asian global player in 2012, Padding was a branch manager in Bremen und Hamburg from 2015 onwards.

Padding will take charge of KLCS’s operational and strategic management and develop KLCS’s air and sea freight, railway (Silk Road) and overland services.

Thomas Manigk will remain sole managing director of KLCS until Padding comes on board in September. (cj)
