Emons Battery adopts digital container management
Emons Battery, a Cologne-based logistics company, has partnered with Logistikbude GmbH to implement a digital platform for managing expensive dangerous goods containers. The system ensures transparent tracking of specialised containers, minimises material loss and allows for precise, day-specific lending, resulting in significant cost savings. Since 2023, Emons has used QR codes to automatically record the location, condition and utilisation period of the containers, preventing material from being lost. The software enables easy management of large quantities of containers without increasing administrative effort.
The use of digital container management solutions provides Emons Battery with a competitive advantage, offering full control and protecting against loss risks. The partnership is set to be further developed to enhance automation and extend pooling to other sensitive goods such as gas cylinders or contaminated textiles. The aim is to further automate container management, increasing efficiency and transparency and supporting sustainable and safe battery recycling.
