Europort 2025 opens in Rotterdam


Europort 2025 in Rotterdam, the 42nd instalment, is sold out, attracting over 1100 exhibitors from 40+ countries. Opening remarks by Marja van Bijsterveldt emphasised cooperation as vital amid industry turbulence, echoing the summit theme: "The Benefits of the Roaring Twenties – A Sea of Opportunities." The event explores energy transition, digitalisation and human capital challenges, showcasing technological innovations like hybrid drones developed for the Dutch navy.

 

Keynote speaker Bob Nolet linked tradition, resilience and sustainability, highlighting his distillery's global "Garnish with Good" initiative. Panel discussions stressed that collaboration and EU leadership are essential for Europe's maritime competitiveness. Van Bijsterveldt urged transforming strengths into opportunities through cooperation, reinforcing the industry's critical role in Europe's security, sustainability, and economic resilience. Raymond Siliakus highlighted Europort's status as a vital platform for maritime innovation amid this decade’s energy and digital shifts.
