Expanding the fleet with A330-300P2Fs

Saudia Cargo has signed a wet-lease agreement with ASL Aviation Holdings for two Airbus A330-300P2F freighters.

The first aircraft, MSN 1272, arrived in Shannon in June after passenger-to-freighter conversion and will begin service with ASL Airlines Ireland in September before delivery to Saudia Cargo in Q4. The second unit is also due in Q4.

The deal marks the A330F’s return to ASL’s operated fleet and adds capacity for express, e-commerce and heavy cargo, with a 62 t payload and 37 pallet positions. ASL’s 40-strong fleet serves over 50 destinations in Europe, North America and Asia. Saudia Cargo, serving 100 airports worldwide, said the partnership will enhance network agility and support Saudi Arabia’s logistics hub ambitions. (ah)
