Federal funds for Montreal Mirabel logistics business
Montreal Mirabel airport (YMX) will receive a major investment of CAD 50 million (EUR 34 million) to improve air freight and logistics at the Mirabel International Aerocity in order to help local businesses compete by exporting Canadian goods to international markets.
The work includes refurbishing and extending the main apron to a cargo apron, improving the road network in the area for easier access to the new cargo apron, providing more aircraft parking capacity and building 20,000 sqm of warehouse space dedicated to air freight and logistics.
This project is expected to boost the quantity of Canadian goods exported to overseas markets by providing Montreal airport with the necessary facilities in Mirabel to accommodate the growth of export and import volumes. (ah)
