Fletcher to lead Logistics UK
Effective today, 1 December 2026, Ben Fletcher becomes the new CEO of Logistics UK. He joins after a long career in industry representation, most recently as Chief Operating Officer at Make UK, where he led public affairs, membership and the organisation’s commercial arms.
Logistics UK president Phil Roe said Fletcher’s appointment will strengthen the group’s influence among policymakers and help improve services for members across all freight modes. Fletcher called logistics “the backbone of Britain’s economy”, adding that the sector connects people and products every minute and must now navigate major technological and regulatory shifts. He pledged to support innovation, skills and growth as businesses adapt to decarbonisation and new supply chain models.
Logistics UK represents companies across road, rail, water and air, as well as shippers whose operations rely on efficient cargo flows. (ah)
