Florida ports elect leadership

The Florida Seaport Transportation and Economic Development Council (FSTED) has elected new officers for 2025–2027. Joshua Revord (photo), port director of Fort Pierce, was named chair, joined by Port Everglades CEO Joseph Morris as vice chair and Pensacola port director Lance Scott as secretary.

Representing 16 deepwater ports, FSTED drives local capital projects and supports Florida’s wider economic agenda. Revord underlined the sector’s pivotal role in moving over 100 million t of cargo annually and supplying critical goods such as food, fuel and healthcare.

"Our ports are also strengthening Florida’s potential by expanding traditional trades while building capacity in shipbuilding, the mega yacht industry and even space-related initiatives," he said. The new leadership aims to further consolidate Florida’s position as a global logistics and cruise hub. (ah)
